Member Agreement

This Member Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of iSellit as a buyer and/or seller. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use iSellit.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an iSellit account. You're responsible for keeping your login details and OTP codes confidential, and for all activity on your account.

2. Buying and selling

• Any member may buy or give away items; becoming a seller requires completing seller onboarding.
• Listings must be accurate, and items must match their description, photos, and (where required) seller video.
• Prohibited items include anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen, hazardous, or restricted under Nigerian law. iSellit may remove listings that violate this Agreement without notice.

3. Orders, payments & escrow

• Payments are processed securely through Paystack.
• Funds for an order are held by iSellit until the delivery is confirmed, after which they're released to the seller's iSellit wallet, less applicable platform fees.
• Sellers can withdraw available wallet balances to their linked bank account.
• iSellit may charge a service fee on completed orders; current fees are shown before you confirm a purchase or payout.

4. Delivery

Orders are delivered by iSellit's courier partners or, where offered, arranged directly between buyer and seller. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed.

5. Cancellations, returns & disputes

• Buyers may cancel an order before it ships, subject to the seller's confirmation status.
• If an item doesn't match its listing or arrives damaged, buyers can open a dispute from their order before funds are released to the seller.
• iSellit will review disputes in good faith and may refund the buyer, release funds to the seller, or request more information from either party to reach a resolution.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Circumvent iSellit's payment system to avoid fees or buyer/seller protections.
• Post false, misleading, or infringing listings, reviews, or messages.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other members.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

7. Content you post

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, and text you upload, but you grant iSellit a license to host, display, and distribute that content on the platform in order to operate the marketplace.

8. Account suspension & termination

iSellit may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to other members. You may close your account at any time; open orders must be completed or resolved first.

9. Limitation of liability

iSellit provides the marketplace “as is” and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by members, or for the conduct of buyers and sellers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, iSellit's liability arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees you've paid us in the preceding six months.

10. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

11. Changes to this Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of iSellit after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
